Fully rested and armed to the teeth, the group looks on as people are eaten alive in the streets below, and learn a valuable lesson: you can't save them all. However, in the zombie apocalypse, there are always exceptions...
As Takashi goes to check on the noise outside of a dog barking, Kohta informs him that new swarms of zombies have appeared on the streets below, wandering to and fro based on the various noises on the street. As the two men prepare to open fire on the undead, Saeko comes out to the balacony to remind them that the fire from their rifles would trigger the masses of zombies towards their location and instead recommends that they turn down the lights and stay quiet. As Saeko leaves, she informs Takashi it is best to look around at the survivors being killed so he may get used to seeing death around him. Takashi is confused as he tells Saeko he thought of her differently, being a woman of honor and courage as opposed to cowardice.
Takashi takes her advice though as he and Kohta begin to look around with the military binoculars as they witness survivors being torn apart and killed at the hands of the undead. Two people catch Takashi's attention as we cut to the street level as Alice Maresato and her father are looking for refuge from the undead. With Alice genuinely scared and wondering the fate of her mother, her father takes her to a home with th elights on and the door locked. He repeatedlybangs on the door, asking for the survivors to take in his seven year old daughter so she may live. The group inside refuses and only opens the door after he threatens to knock it down. Things change instantly as the group inside stab Alice's father in the chest, closing the door immediately and leaving him to die in the front yard as Alice weeps for her loss, attracting more undead to the front yard of the home. It seems that Alice is doomed until a sniper shot takes down a few of the zombies around her, Kohta exclaiming that while they are few in numbers, they are still human and refuse to let a child die. Takashi explains this to Saeko, who gladly agrees as she and Rei set up a ramp for Takashi to exit the premise while Kohta covers him from above.
As Alice is cornered by the undead, Takashi bolts into the front yard, wrecking his bike as he takes down the various zombies in the area, saving Alice and locking the gate so that no more zombies can get in. Takashi covers Alice's father with a nearby shirt, telling her that her father was the best as she says her final goodbye's before trying to escape with Takashi and the dog that came to her rescue. Back at the apartment, Takagi wakes up Shizuka as Rei and Saeko are preparing to pack the Hummer to pick up Takashi and Alice. Kohta is worried about getting them due to the masses of the undead as he spots Takashi carrying Alice while balancing on a wall. As soon as everything is packed, Shizuka rolls out to save them as they plow through the zombies, coming to where the two are. Saeko jumps off with her sword to fend off some zombies while Kohta uses his new arsenal to pick off any remaining stragglers while Takashi and Alice get to of the Hummer. With everyone aboard, Shizuka floors it as the episode comes to an end, the group pondering how to make it acorss the bridge to find their families.
