hmm... the original was a 20+ episode series, and isn't the second season the same? I assume you're talking about the second season?

DtB2 is 12 episodes, which means it just ended. DtB2 wasn't a bad show by any account, but it was a failure as a sequel. On one hand, I did enjoy watching it and the soundtrack was an improvement over the original (although I would have preferred and ABS opening). On the other hand, I had been expecting a true sequel - a show about Hei, not some little girl. I have mixed feelings. We did get to learn more about Mao, though. That was nice.

Oh man, that's terrible! That is to say... I'm currently at episode 12, and I had no idea that was the end of it. I guess, given the first season, I just assumed it would be equal length.
