While eating breakfast, the Takakura brothers are suddenly transported to another dimension when the mysterious entity in the penguin hat possesses Himari's body again. The alien tells them that the Penguin Drum can "probably" be found in the possession of a girl named Ringo Oginome, and tells them exactly how to find her, though she does not say what the Penguin Drum is or what she means by "probably."
The brothers then spend the rest of the episode stalking Ringo from one place to another. She goes to an all-girls school, and Kanba gets the idea to mark the penguins with numbers in white pen to distinguish them. Kanba then hooks both of them up with portable cameras to go spy inside the school. Even though normal people cannot see the penguins, they can still feel their presence. Back at their house, Himari gets a call from their homeroom teacher about their absence while her penguin tries on some makeup.
Later, Ringo travels to a bookstore to look up some romantic advice, and then heads to a mall in Ikebukuro and slides along a very small ledge on the outside of the building to get a good picture of a red-tailed swallow nest built in a crevice. She then gets back on the train and runs into a teacher who happens to be the Takakuras' homeroom teacher as well. After he praises her work, she stalks the teacher back to his house as the Takakuras and their penguins follow Ringo, and they find that she's been stalking him the whole time due to her weird crush.
