We've had two announcements from Crunchyroll in the last two days: the first is two Comix Waves anime, the romantic comedy Kaede Newtown and the fantasy drama Yonna in the Solitary Fortress. The former is already available on the site, and the latter is coming in January; each is $2.99 (or free if you have the Crunchyroll Anime Membership, which I should start poking around with since I preordered mine).
The second announcement may be more interesting or less, depending on your propensity for American football: the first eight episodes of Eyeshield 21 will be airing for free (ad-supported), on Crunchyroll starting January 2. Anime members get access to the higher-quality ad-free streams.
In other words, Crunchyroll has kept on crunchyrollin'. I'm really excited about watching Shugo Chara! when it starts in January, and I'm very curious about these two lesser-known Comix Waves titles-- how about you?
