Shundo is the new kid in town, ready to fight with anyone. After beating more than ten opponents, he gets a reputation as the toughest kid around, but he uses his strength to help those who cannot help themselves, soon gaining a following of grateful youngsters.

Transferring the honor of samurai drama to a school setting, Hiroshi Takahashi's 1990 manga from Shonen Champion was a more serious take on the teenage tough guys of shows like Be-Bop High school and Angel Legend, although Shundo's alma mater, "The Edge of Badness," is named with a pomposity that might perhaps have benefited from a little humor.
