Crossfire

Megatron is made aware of Airachnid's earlier attempt to abandon him on Earth by Soundwave, leading Megatron to promote Dreadwing to become his new 2nd in command and sends him along with Breakdown on a mission to kill Airachnid.

The pair nearly succeed but Airachnid is saved by an Insecticon and she kills Breakdown in retaliation. Soon Starscream and Airachnid cross paths, Starscream wants to join forces with her, but she has her Insecticon attack him.

MECH soldiers recover Breakdown's dead and dismembered body salvaging it for spare parts.

Later a severely wounded Starscream informs the Autobots of the latest turn of events among the Decepticons and Ratchet treats his injuries for the intelligence report.

Later, Megatron confronts Airachnid and her Insecticon, the Insecticon is ordered to stand down by Megatron, but refuses and attacks him, at the end of the battle Megatron decapitates the monstrous Decepticon. Airachnid retreats, but is pursued by Arcee, who is lured into a trap by the spider-like transformer, but before Airachnid can deal the death blow to Arcee, Starscream saves Arcee's life and shoots Airachnid off a cliff. Starscream frees Arcee, but knows there is nothing he can say or do to make up for the fact he killed Cliffjumper and simply walks away. At the bottom of the cave, Airachnid regains consciousness on top of an Insecticon hive.
