It's been a while since I've seen this particular series... but in the same amount of time I personally haven't seen anything with as much intrigue, political desperation, or excitement as this gave me. The entry on here for the synopsis doesn't do this first fine series any real justice, so let me do a better recap:
When Jinto was a young man, his father did something that would upset the morale on his home planet- he gave up control of the planet for peace and a position in Ahb society. Years later, he is in the middle of studies concerning Ahb culture and socity when he meets a princess of their race by the name of Lafiel. The two are on their way to military school when they find themselves in the midst of a brewing war between the Abh empire and the Four Nations Alliance of humankind (an anti-Ahb alliance of sorts).
Sounds slightly boring, right? WRONG. As space opera-ish as this sounds, it is. But at the same time, it isn't. With the way the main characters are forced to interact with each other and the oft dangerous situations they land themselves into, it's a wonder this series isn't higher on people's watchlists.
