A person who was paid to preform the extermination of a specific person. |

Bath Scene
One of the most common forms of fanservice in all anime. Bath scenes can show bonding between characters, but are more often used as just an excuse to exploit a female character. |

Betrayal
Betrayal is the act of treachery or a violation of a trust or allegiance. This can be to one's friends, country, or God. |

|
Big Shot
Program "For The Bounty Hunters." A way for bounty hunters to be informed on the latest bounties in the galaxy. |

Bounty
A Bounty is a price put on the life of someone who is wanted by either the authorities, government, or private organization. |
|
|
Bounty Hunter
Doing deals for large amounts of cash. Usually hunts people wanted by the law. |
|
|
Cat
Feline animal with four legs and says "meow." Many are found hanging around animes and mangas. |

|
Chess
Chess is a strategic game that is played on a checkered board. Played with either black or white pieces that are of different ranks and abilities. |
|
Clip Show
An anime episode that centers around clips from other episodes of the series. Usually used as filler or as a way of recapping events of a long running series for new viewers. This is very common in many series. |

Cryostasis
The process of freezing living organisms. |
|
|
Cults
A cult is a group of followers who worship a leader who is usually preaching a way of thinking they created. In anime and manga cults are usually villainous groups trying to take over the world or brainwash people. |

Dog
Canine animal with four legs that is seen as a pet. |
|
Drug Dealer
Someone who sells illegal drugs for profit |

Eating
Perhaps the greatest past-time in Anime, eating is often done in more lighthearted moments as a source of humor or as a way of showing togetherness with characters, usually involving characters who can eat insane amounts of food and not gain an ounce. |

Explosion
Explosions are featured in a wide array of anime/manga, created from various weapons/attacks. |
|
|
Father
Fatherhood as a concept. A man who has conceived or raised a child. |
|
|
Feng Shui
A Chinese system of geomancy believed to use the laws of both Heaven and Earth to help one improve life by receiving positive qi. |

Flashback
Used frequently in Anime to either recap past events or provide a back story for a character, either their origin story or their off-screen training of new attack. Sometime and entire episode/chapter would be a entire flashback. |

Hacker
Someone skilled with computers who is able to break into secure programs and alter them. A hacker's motives vary, some do it for malicious reasons, some for heroic ones, and others just for fun. |

Hallucination
Seeing things that aren't there |

|
Hitchhiker
A hitchhiker points his/ or her thumb up to signal drivers that they need a ride. It may be different hand gestures in different countries. |

Immortality
The ability to live beyond a regular human's lifespan. |
|
|
It's a Trap
A phrase used to describe a situation where someone mistakes a man/transsexual for an attractive woman. Not to be confused with "Crossplay" even though this can be said in that situation. |

Anime/manga performed by actual people! |
|
|
Major death
Death of a major character. |
|
|
Musician
A musician is a person who creates and/or plays music. |
|
|
Partners
A group of at least two people who always work together and often make each other stronger by doing so. |

|
Police
The Police are a form of law enforcement officers that work on the local levels. Uniforms are normally in either blue or black. |
|
|
Rivals
Rivals are competitor to someone. Unlike an enemy, rivals could have similar goals but disagree on the process. |
|
|
Robot
An electro-mechanical machine which is guided by computer or electronic programming, and is thus able to do tasks on its own. |

|
Shower Scene
One of the most common forms of Fanservice, and a classic anime cliche. |
|
|
Smoker
A person who smokes tobacco. |
|
|
Sword Versus Gun Fight
A battle commonly seen in anime where one character using a gun battles another character using a sword... Oddly the character with the sword almost always wins. |

|
Terrorist
A person or group that use psychological or destructive tactics to intimidate large numbers of people in order to further their own goals. |

The Syndicate
A vast criminal organization in the Cowboy Bebop series |
|
|
Woolong
The (digital) universal currency used in the world of Cowboy Bebop. Paper money is rarely used. |
