So, yesterday I told you what NOT to do at an anime convention. So...what DO you do at a con? Here's another top 5 for you guys.



In an attempt to relieve some of the negativity of our pet peeves from yesterday, let's talk about our favorite things TO do at cons. I'll start: I love going through the dealer room. This has always been a favorite task of mine...it used to be because I'd buy so much, but now it's because that's when I get a chance to corner all the people I know throughout the industry and catch up (or demand answers to your questions).

RedRoses: Your average first-time con goer probably isn't doing extensive cosplay ;) The one-month rule is really my deadline for travel arrangements, anyway. Usually I have to prepare earlier to get the best rates, and depending on the con, you may have to apply for your press pass pretty early on too :)

RedRoses: Even as a kid I always set aside money for at least one awesome meal at a cool restaurant :D Of course I'm spoiled; I love sit-down restaurants. I almost never eat fast food anymore, even at cons.

Karaoke. I love con karaokes. It's a great way to unwind after twelve hours of manning an artists' table. x3
