Ed Kramer, the original founder of DragonCon, is suing Robert Patrick Henry for shorting him on proceeds from sale of stock, and his suit also alleges that Henry misappropriated convention funds and hired unqualified relatives to fill staff positions. Henry replies that the accusations are baseless and that Kramer is probably just angry over losing control over the convention as a minority shareholder.
Kramer himself will be taken to court shortly to deal with his August 2000 arrest for allegedly molesting three boys, which has been delayed numerous times due to severe spinal cord injuries that make it impossible for him to remain in court for long. He is also requesting a jury for the above civil trial, which may prolong it as well.
It's a shame to see such an awesome convention beleaguered by legal troubles...
