A marriage that is arraigned through a meeting and interview process or between families. Many times, the participants may have never even met one another. |

The act of Breaking the 4th Wall is when a character seem to show knowledge that they are in a fictional series. Normally by talking directly to the audience. |

The Bunny Girl is a fetish outfit made popular by the Playboy company though the meaning is different in Japan. A popular outfit in cosplay. |

Feline animal with four legs and says "meow." Many are found hanging around animes and mangas. |

Chess
Chess is a strategic game that is played on a checkered board. Played with either black or white pieces that are of different ranks and abilities. |

Chibi
Chibi means to be small in stature. In anime/manga the term is used for a character that is small in appearance and exaggerated features. |

Childhood Friend
The character has known the protagonist for a long time, typically all his/her life. If he/she's from the opposite gender there's a high chance he/she has a crush on the main character. |

Chinese Federation
The Chinese Federation is the governing body of China and much of Asia in the Code Geass series, led by the child Empress Tian Zi. |

Class President
A Class President is the elected leader of a student council in most academies. They are in charge of most student events and serve as representative of the student body to the faculty. |

Class Representative
The Class Representative is the person who is appointed as the spokesperson for a classroom in certain school committees. They also enforce the rules amongst the students in class. |

Code of Honor
Many characters in anime/manga live by a personal or structured code of honor. |

Nearly every anime has a comedic moment here or there. Everyone likes to laugh. |

A live performance or show were musicians perform before a live audience. |

Convenient Censorship
Convenient Censorship such as steam, hair and beams of light are often used in anime and manga to show naked characters while obscuring their "naughty bits". |

A Doctor is a medical professional that works to the goal of curing illness in others. |

Drama
Drama is a concept used in story telling to invoke an emotional reaction from the audience by using serious themes; such as tragedy, suspense, and death. |

Perhaps the greatest past-time in Anime, eating is often done in more lighthearted moments as a source of humor or as a way of showing togetherness with characters, usually involving characters who can eat insane amounts of food and not gain an ounce. |

A girl who is a loyal fan to some person, show, book, or other objects; and takes this support to an almost extreme level at times. A true fanatic. |

Fan Service
Fan Service is often a sexually provocative moment or pose that takes place in manga and anime. It usually has no real purpose to a story, and serves as a lurid visual. |

Fatherhood as a concept. A man who has conceived or raised a child. |

Female Ninja
A Female Ninja in Japanese is referred to as a kunoichi. They were given special training that took advantage of a woman's natural gifts. |

The character knows well how to defend him or herself. |

Fishing
The act of catching fish, usually with a rod and reel. Is often seen in any anime that takes place outdoors or in settings in the past where fishing was a valuable skill needed to gather food. |

Flashback
Used frequently in Anime to either recap past events or provide a back story for a character, either their origin story or their off-screen training of new attack. Sometime and entire episode/chapter would be a entire flashback. |
