Shuda completely destroys the Symphonia grave, and he raises his ship with everyone on it. Shuda fights Haru while Elie and Musica fight Busha and Lugas. Despite that Shuda has told Haru that he and Gale are friends, Haru is determined to defeat Shuda due to his promise with Cattleya.

Haru and Shuda fight each other until Shuda blasts Haru with his Dark Bring which sends Haru to the Symphonia Grave room. Shuda infuriates Haru by blowing up the grave site. Once the grave has been destroyed, Shuda summons his fortress, Rhapsodia, to rise from the mines. While it is rising, many Demon Card soldiers are injure, Haru and Plue face Shiba, and Musica, Elie, and Griffon face Shuda's two henchmen, a fat man and a cyborg. Haru tells Musica to protect Elie then Haru resumes fighting Shuda. The fat man displays his perverted true self when he ask Elie to play tag with him. At first, Griffon wants to, but Elie makes him refuse. When Musica tries to attack the fat man, the fat man uses his Gluepia to stop him. As soon as Musica gets free, he tries to help. However, the cyborg figures out what scum means and attacks Musica with his robotic wired fist. Meanwhile, Haru uses Explosion and Silaphilion on Shuda, but his efforts fail. Suddenly, Shuda raises the field to honor Haru by raising the stakes. Haru and Shuda will fight on a new arena, Vanish Field. Shuda tells Haru that his father and him used to be friends. Haru who is stunned gets kick by Shuda.
Meanwhile at Garage Island, Cattleya's mind drifts into a flashback where her father says goodbye to her and her mother, Sakura Glory. Young Cattleya makes her father promise to come back home. Unfortunately, that promise has never come true.
Shuda kicks Haru in the gut and he explains how fragile Haru's mind is. Shuda explains his dark bring (Barrete Blaze)'s power by demonstrating that it can explode given the proper explosion. Once Haru is on the ledge of the Vanish Field, Shuda unleashes explosions on Elie and then Musica. Musica gets up and walks to Elie. Shuda's two henchmen decides to defeat Musica in order to gain promotion. Shuda is still using his explosive ability on Haru while Haru dismisses' Shuda's facts about Haru.
Haru's mind drifts into a flash back when he leaves Cattleya to find the Rave. He eavesdrop on is sister and learns that his sister's strong faith in Haru's promise to come home. She believes Haru will come home unlike his father.
Haru wakes up and continues fighting to keep his promise.
