Chūnin Challenge: Rock Lee vs. Sasuke! - 気合い120% ナウでロックな挑戦状! (Kiai hyaku-nijū pāsento Nau de rokku na chōsenjō!)

To what looked like genin level ninjas used genjutsu to change second floor to look like third floor but this attempt fails as Sasuke and Sakura saw right through it. When the illusion was stopped one of the two ninjas attacked Sasuke, while the other one followed shortly. One of the members who were earlier bullied by the two, blocks the attacks with his arms. When they had left, TenTen and Neji, Rock Lee's two teammates stood up, there were no traces of injuries. As Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto leave, we see the two earlier ninjas transform into their real forms, they were moderators and wanted to hold their own unofficial test.

Rock Lee, a second year genin who wears a tight green jumpsuit, challenges Sasuke to a duel. Before they begin the duel, Rock Lee confesses his love for Sakura Haruno who gets grossed out by his thick eyebrows. Naruto is bored of being treated like an inferior in the presence of Sasuke, and takes on Rock Lee. Fuzzy-brows evades Naruto's attack and knocks him out in one blow.Sasuke gets excited about the duel, but it doesn't end in his favor. Rock Lee proves to be an excellent taijutsu ninja and evades every attack from Sasuke, even after he uses the abilities of his sharingan. Lee launches Sasuke into the air and appears underneath him as a shadow that follows a leaf. Before he is able to do his finishing move on Sasuke he is interrupted by a... a turtle. Rock Lee gets nervous and apologizes to the turtle, who appears to be his mentor. But thankfully the turtle isn't his master and the true sensei shows up. Rock Lee's jounin sensei is Gai, who's appearance is exactly the same as Rock Lee but older. Gai sensei and Rock Lee have an energetic attitude that freak out Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. Gai tells them that he and Kakashi are rivals and have fought many duels among themselves.After Gai sensei and the turtle leave, Rock Lee confesses that he isn't the strongest genin there is as he had stated earlier. He says that the title most likely belongs to his teammate, Neji Hyuga. He then leaves to go to the exam, while Sasuke feels like a complete failure for not being able lay a finger on him. But he decides to let it all pass to keep himself confident for the Chuunin Exams!
