Chun Li appears in Street Fighter II the Animated Movie, and a series of street fighter II based manga published in the 90's. In the animated movie Chun Li has a run in with the killer of her father. While Chun Li is in the shower, Vega sneaks into her apartment. When Chun Li leaves the shower she gets lunged at by Vega leaving 3 long scars on her back from Vega's claw. The fight continues on with Chun Li getting a phone call. Chun Li eventually takes out Vega by throwing a couch at him and kicking him repeatedly.
