A chimera is an alchemical fusion between two or more beings.
The chimeras are named after the Greek mythological beast by the same name: A Fire-breathing abomination that had the body of a goat or a lion, both heads from the goat and the lion and a tail that was a living, venomous, fanged serpent. It was defeated by the hero Perseus (owner of Medusa's head and Pegasus, the winged steed.), who threw a pole with an edge of lead into it's throat.
A chimera can also be an animal with benefitial genes from different species.
