Chikage is the self appointed genius of Airan Island. She is a science geek who collects all the modern inventions that tend to wash ashore. She lives in the only Western-style home on the island. She wants Ikuto for her research.

Chikage is a main character in the Nagasarete Airantou series that was created by Takeshi Fujishiro. The series first began serialization in Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan magazine in January 2002.
Her first appearance was in Nagasarete Airantou Volume 1 CH. 1 "Drifted Away", and her first anime appearance was in Nagasarete Airantou - Episode 1 "Drifted to Paradise!?". Her character in the Japanese series is voiced by Shizuka Ito.
