The final form of Charmander. Charizard is one of the most recognizable Pokémon, and a Pokémon icon.

Charizard is a fire breathing, flying, dragon like creature that sports a powerful tail with a small flame at the end of it. It is said that if this flame is extinguished, so is the life of the Charizard. Charizard is the 3rd stage, evolved form of Charmander. When Charizard attains a Charizardite X or Y, he can mega evolve into Mega Charizard X or Y. These transformations raises Charizard's stats and strenghtens and changes his abilities. Mega Charizard X is black and blue with blue flames constantly rising out of its mouth, and Mega Charizard Y looks more similar to charizard in color and has horns on the top of its head and large wings.

Charizard are a fiery Pokémon that can be calm at times, but quickly anger, and breath its hot flames over whatever it desires. These flames are hot enough to melt boulders, and a single rogue Charizard is powerful enough to start a massive forest fire very quickly. No matter how much a Pokémon trainer tames one, a Charizard is always good to keep a watchful eye upon, just in case they decide to freak out and burn something or someone. Charizard are known for their courage, and will never fight a weaker opponent than themselves, unless forced to do so.
