Charmander ---> Charmeleon ---> Charizard ---> Mega Charizard X/Y
Charizard are a fiery Pokémon that can be calm at times, but quickly anger, and breath its hot flames over whatever it desires. These flames are hot enough to melt boulders, and a single rogue Charizard is powerful enough to start a massive forest fire very quickly. No matter how much a Pokémon trainer tames one, a Charizard is always good to keep a watchful eye upon, just in case they decide to freak out and burn something or someone. Charizard are known for their courage, and will never fight a weaker opponent than themselves, unless forced to do so.
Charmander, which will eventually evolve to Charizard, is available as a starter Pokémon in the Pokémon Red/Blue and FireRed/LeafGreen games. No Charizard can be found in the wild in any of these games.
When Pokémon first was popular, the trading cards were very popular, and Charizard was the most popular out of any of the trading cards. It was a rare card, and so sought after, that some people were willing to pay over one hundred dollars for one of these holographic cards.
