So for some reason, I've been feeling motivated to start drawing again (specifically drawing anime). As such, I'm going to attempt to do at least one drawing a week. Since it's been a long time since I've drawn on a regular basis (basically it was back in my senior high school art class, which was about  six years ago), these will probably bee rougher than I would prefer, but hey this is a work in progress. Hopefully, I'll start regaining some of my previous abilities as we progress. Anyway, this week, I figure I'd start off with some basic contour art. No shading for now since I'm lazy and tired (it took me long enough just to do the outline). I'll probably do that next week. :P

And to give you an idea of the type of art I've done before. Here are some of the stuff I did back in high school:

Hopefully, I can keep to my one drawing a week schedule I've made for myself. Anyway, next week: shading! (exciting, isn't it?)

Hey Guys, I thought I should start a blogging here on Anime Vice because I thought it might be cool place to talk about my love anime!

By the way spoilers for both Ah! My Goddess and Code Geass: R2 follow so just a heads up!

Anyways, I just finished Code Geass: R2 and Ah! My Goddess today. Two completely different genre's of anime cos thats how I roll.
Although my friend told me 'Ah! My Goddess is for girls!' which I totally disagree with as I feel although the majority of the cast are goddess's with ranging personalities I don't think anyone is more relate able than Keiichi. We all feel like one of the most unluckiest people on the planet and Keiichi is no different (although I think he has a point as some of things that happen to him are very very unlucky) Then again the whole idea of having some one 'perfect' for you to appear in your life seems to be another common dream shared by many people. This is why I think Ah! My Goddess is great for anyone of any gender. The majority of people can relate to how Keiichi feels towards Belldandy and granted there's all this crazy comic situations at heart its a romantic tale about two lovers who stay together through thick and thin which is why it was great to watch along side Code Geass: Lelouch of Rebellion R2 as that is dark and mysterious just like Zero himself.
Now Code Geass R2 was one hell of a roller coaster and I enjoyed every moment of it! So many twists and turns. Just when you think you know what's going on they pull the rug from under your feet and totally catch you by surprise. It can be a bit confusing what with people swapping sides here and there (especially at the end). Also
No one really dies on Code Geass so why should Lelouch be any different?
No one really dies on Code Geass so why should Lelouch be any different?
I found it hard to know exactly who to root for. I mean there was Lelouch who seemed to becoming more 'Light Yagami' as the series went on although he did seem to care about peoples lives at times it was hard to tell when he was lying or not for me and the characters! But right at the end he does prove that he cares. I think his conscious caught up with him and he made the final decision to end it all and finally bring peace to the world. Although, I do wonder.... Is he really dead? I mean yes I know there making another series but isn't that not about Lelouch? It's just that C.C seems to suggest he could still be alive....
Anyways I digress..... I'll try and keep this updated with my views about anime/manga and whatever else takes my fancy. I will try and add photo's into my next post but I did try with this one but they kept on going everywhere bar where I wanted them >___< So I'm gonna have to spend some time getting used to this word processor.
Anyways till next time!

I just recently finished another in the line of my Code Geass R2 4komas. I have already posted this on my deviant Art profile, but I thought I would also share this new work here. Last time I posted a 4koma based on Episode 23. Well, this one is based upon the same episode, but a little later then the previous two.

I titled this one "Tactics".  The scene is where Kallen is getting too far ahead of everyone in the battle. I thought it would be funny if Lelouch tried to get his Geass controlled soldiers to try and push her back. Knowing they could never defeat her, but she was a bit too effective. I did my best to try and replicate the graph that was shown on the screen during the original line.

Code Geass R2 - Episode 23
Code Geass R2 - Episode 23
This took a surprisingly long time to color up. Considering the only panel I literally drew for this was the third panel. The rest was completely digitally created. I have to recreate all those graphics.
I love Lelouch's reaction. That was inspired by a scene from a manga I don't think many of you have heard of. It's called Girl Saurs(Girl Saurus DX). The lead ale character has over the top scared reactions like that. Just so you know. That isn't a typo with C.C. That was on purpose. I wanted her to extend the word to give more emphasis. I almost used a different line for C.C. The other line I had written was, "You didn't answer her, did you?". I like the choice I made.

It was the same with Lelouch. His very last line was simply going to be "Retreat!", but my inner Monthy Python told me to go with this classic Holy Grail line. Now that I got all of these out of the way. I can move on to Episode 24. Hope you enjoy the work put into this.

This is a bit of a first here. I am adding the latest in my series of Code Geass R2 4komas on my Anime Vice blog the very same day I posted on my deviant Art page. Both are based upon Episode 23.

 Code Geass R2 Episode 23
 Code Geass R2 Episode 23
This first one is titled "Comfort Deux". It's based on the scene early in the episode where Lelouch is still reeling from the idea that Nunnally is still alive and how this will effect the plan he has spent so much time working on.

I remembered that the last time Lelouch thought he was losing Nunnally he became kind of depressed and sort of hit on Kallen with this, "then...comfort me." line. I thought it would be funny if in this scene where Suzaku is confronting Lelouch about Nunnally that perhaps he is so confused that he actually forgets who he's talking to and thinks it's Kallen again. I lot of yaoi fans enjoy this one as well. The keen observer will notice C.C.'s hand slowly coming into view with the recorder in panels two and three. That is sort of a call back to some of my favorite moments in Loony Toons where something or someone would slowly come into view for comedic effect. That's why I gave C.C. that sort of sly Bugs Bunny look at the end.

As you can tell in the picture above. I really like to try and emulate the scenes I'm making into a joke. That way fans will be able to know exactly where this is taking place. You often don't see that level of detail in fan comics.

Yet another 4koma to go along with this same episode. It's this image that both debuts on both Anime Vice and deviant Art at the same time. The title is "Release". This is a little later after it's been revealed that the Black Knights had repaired Gino's KMF, the Tristan. He's talking with Kallen about how he understands how she must of felt being half Brittanian and fighting with the Japanese. Really, it's a stupid statement. He didn't understand at all what she was feeling.

I really hated Gino. He was the most pointless character that never influenced anything in the series. I don't even think through the whole series that he ever even knew that Lelouch was originally Zero. I really wish Suzaku had killed him when he killed the other Knights of the Round.

Art wise, one of my favorite touches was the blurring of the Tristan in the foreground. It helped sell the sense of depth. The color work came out pretty well too.

I hope you enjoyed the art work and they gave you a good laugh. If you visit my devArt page you can see this art amongst others in a larger size. Please, feel free to comment.

Well, I have been a busy poster on here these past few days. It's time for me to post some more of these 4komas based on the second season of Code Geass.

My internet was having a horrible connection today. Probably due to the work they were doing after that guy knocked over that telephone pole. I should probably switch to cable based high-speed internet. Seems to be working fine for me now.

Code Geass R2 - Episode 19
Code Geass R2 - Episode 19
This one is a rather goofy but fun 4koma based on the events in Episode 19. I just found it odd how easily the Black Knights accepted Schneizel's audio evidence against Lelouch. I really like how Toudou looks in that first panel. He makes me think of a proud lion. It was a lot of fun making this one. I had actually had this joke written weeks before this episode even aired. I had read episode previews and I was able to basically deduce what was going to happen. I just wasn't sure who was going to be in the room or the setting.
The punch line here is based off something Kanon had said during the China arc. He had mentioned how he took care of all of Scheizel's needs. I played off of that line, because even he seemed to be implying something. Poor Cornelia here. Seeing her older brother like that.

Code Geass R2 - Episode 20
Code Geass R2 - Episode 20
This 4koma from Episode 20 was venting some frustration. It was so irritating having Kallen stuck in the prison for so long. She finally breaks free in this amazing battle. Only for the Black Knights to betray and we pretty much don't see her in this episode. As a Kallen fan it kind of ticked me off. This takes place just after C.C.'s memories have returned. She goes back to the room to get her stuffed doll and walks in on Kallen wearing her dress.

It was a bit hard to pull off this joke. More so in that third panel. I just sort of imagined C.C. slowly appearing in the reflection of the mirror in a very Bugs Bunny style. One of my favorite touches in the art is how the story takes place in the reflection, but you see them in the foreground too.

Enjoy.

Today's 4komas are based on Episodes 14 and 15. Now that I have these posted. I'm off to go do some baking for my mother's birthday dinner tomorrow. I'm making her favorite dessert, an Apple Tart.

Code Geass R2 - Episode 14
Code Geass R2 - Episode 14
Well, after Kallen was captured I actually thought that the whole time Nunnally and Suzaku were going to try and tempt Kallen to join their side. Much to my surprise, all that really happened was that Nunnally and Kallen talked together about their brothers. Kallen spent her whole time in captivity mostly just learning more about the kinder side of Lelouch that Nunnally knew.

It was Nunnally who got Kallen out her her small cell to a much more elaborate prison cell and a very fancy dress. It always seemed one size too small, because her breasts looked like they would pop out if she so much as breathed too hard.

I really like Kallen's expression in the third panel. It was something I noticed about this cell. It only had this fancy chair in the room. I thought it would be funny to show that Nunnally also had an evil side to her.

Code Geass R2 - Episode 15
Code Geass R2 - Episode 15
In this comic based on Episode 15, Lelouch was placed in the World of C by C.C. It was so she could have Charles grant her wish to die. While in the World of C, Lelouch learned of C.C.'s past. That at one time she had a Geass power as well and how it led to her current state. His guide was this dark shadow of C.C. I really like how C.C. looks in those first two panels.

I had a lot of comments from people who loved the idea of C.C. and Marianne(Lelouch's Mother) naked pillow fighting. I always asked them if they would feel the same way if it was their mom. This was sort of a joke that we just shouldn't know things about our parents past. It's better left a mystery.
