Care to Squidertain Our Guests?!
What's all the ruckus?
The Minami Kaze Owner invites all the Lemon employees to his house. His house is actually a rather nice, big, traditional-japanese looking house. It seems that the Owner did not tell his daughter Ayumi that they were all coming over. As they are sitting down to chat, it soon becomes clear that both Ayumi and her father are inept at holding conversation. On the one hand Ayumi is too shy, and her father is very blunt. When her father goes to the kitchen, Ayumi reassures them that he is very happy. Eiko and Squid Girl have a hard time believing this especially when he's is holding a knife and asking, "What's the ruckus?"
Ayumi's father thanks Chizuru, Eiko and Squid Girl
Eiko tries to escape by asking to go the toilet. Squid Girl says she'll come too. The Owner insists on showing them to the toilet. He leads them to the shed behind the house, which Eiko recalls the Owner saying where he keeps a bunch of new prototype robot squid heads. Squid Girl goes inside, the Owner explains the functions of the toilet saying things like, "pressing the nose makes it flush." Squid Girl exits the shed feeling sick. As Eiko looks inside the shed, it's even worse than she imagined. But the Owner seems genuinely interested in whether Squid Girl was pleased with the toilet hospitality. At this point Eiko wonders whether this is the Owner's own way of showing that he cares.
They sit down and begin eating dinner, the Owner prepared a very wholesome meal and everyone digs in. At the end of the dinner, the Owner thanks them. He says that ever since Ayumi has been visiting the Lemon, she has started talking more, which is a big step.
Ink that Amnesia?!
Sanae and Squid Girl as lovers at first sight
The Aizawa's are having dinner, but Squid Girl is busy playing video games and isn't coming down for dinner. Chizuru is able to get Squid Girl to come down by announcing that they're having fried shrimp. However, on her way down the stairs, Squid Girl slips and tumbles down the stairs. When the Aizawa's rush to see if she is alright, Squid Girl seems to have been hit with amnesia. Although she does not remember anything, she still remembers her invasion mission, how to speak, and seems to have some instinct about who's her friend and who isn't.
Squid Girl tries taking off her "hat"
At the Lemon the next day, Cyndi and Sanae find out about Squid Girl's amnesia. They both try to lie to her for their own purposes. Cyndi tries to convince Squid Girl that she's an alien, while Sanae tries to convince Squid Girl that she is her girlfriend. Eiko intervenes and urges them to stop telling lies. The Chizuru comes in and tries telling Squid Girl that she is Eiko's little sister. Squid Girl does not know who to believe is telling the truth. Squid Girl does not know what to do with all these doubts about her own identity.
When Chizuru gives up and tells her the things that they know for sure about her, "that she came from the sea, will die if her hat is taken off," etc. Squid Girl laughs and finds it ridiculous, how could she have come from the sea if she is here living and breathing on land? When Squid Girl tries to take off her hat, it won't come off, and after giving it a good pull, she remembers everything...except Sanae.
You Porpoise Joining the Club?!
Eiko is not impressed
After club activities Kiyomi sees that Squid Girl is waiting for her. Squid Girl says she didn't want to join her on the baseball field because it would attract too much attention, since Squid Girl is so popular. Kiyomi takes Squid Girl around the school fields, explaining how many different clubs there are at school. Squid Girl proposes to make her own club, an Invasion Club. She also decides that they are going to meet at the Lemon for the Invasion Club. Eiko seems unimpressed.
Squid Girl tries on clothes
Squid Girl, Kiyomi and her friends think of what they do in their club. They figure that they have to invade things, and they count places that they have all been together and the places they've walked as being invaded. They plot their progress on a map. They proceed to go to karaoke, bowling, a water park, a department store and a family restaurant. When Eiko finds out about this, she is still unimpressed by how, "invading" has been reduced to "going out and having fun."
Squid Girl and the girls visit Kiyomi who is sick
The next day, Kiyomi does not show up and it is raining. They wait for a while since it's a rule that the club needs 5 people to do anything, but she does not show up, so they decide not to invade that day. Squid Girl begins to become scared about the possibility that the group might disband. The next day, the girls tell her that Kiyomi is sick at home. Squid Girl mentions suspending club activities for a while, then Eiko says this should be the best time for their Invasion. They all decide to visit Kiyomi and invade her house! Kiyomi is pleasantly surprised. The next day, Kiyomi is all better, but Squid Girl is forced to stay home because she caught Kiyomi's cold.
