Burst Angle is here to attempt to satisfy your need for western mech vs monster conspiracy action needs, and almost succeeds, But is to repetitive to keep long term interest.
Meet Jo and Meg these two work for some secret mercenary organization that is on the verge of uncovering a massive conspiracy behind a secret syndicate, a special police force made in Tokyo to help fight high crime rate with excessive force. Both are bring there special talents though to figure out and stop the conspiracy. Jo will shoot every thing, be a badass, pilot a mech and basically do all the importance stuff. Meg will get kidnapped give us shots of her panties, and get kidnapped again.
Let's go over the conspiracy, some group has started to administer drugs that turn people into monsters, they then harvest these monster's brains and use them as CPUs for mechs, Hopefully this sounds like a better plot then it actually is.
Ok so we went over the important plot points now time to talk about the anime. The biggest problem with the anime is that it repaets the same formula over most of the story arcs, mission is given, meg get's kidnapped panty shot, Jo rescues her, mech battle, little piece of the conspiracy is reveled rinse and repeat, but if your willing to stand the same plot point being used again and again you will be treated some good action, The fights are fun to watch, and most of the the time the CGI they use for it seems to work.
Good action, mostly decent use of CGI
Repetitive, repetitive repetitive, did i mention the series is a little repetitive?
In Conclusion
If your looking for an anime where you can just turn off your brain and enjoy mech battles with fans services then you might enjoy this, but if you like a little more reason behind those battles it's best just to skip it
