After having yet another heated argument with his brother, Daisuke and J are out in the city and spot a young man being mugged by some thugs. Daisuke takes care of the thugs but the guy being attacked runs off. He does however catch up with Daisuke later and thanks him for his help. The guy is called Kia Freeborn and he is the son of Judoh’s most famous musical talent Blues Dullea. While Judoh adores him Kia reveals that Blues is nothing more than a drunk and a wife-beater who walked out on Kia and his mother. Kia is filled with anger and hate towards his father and wants to cause him immense pain, and the perfect opportunity has just presented itself. Kia works at a factory that is illegally producing gun parts and now his younger half-brother, Ray, is about to give his first performance. Daisuke uncovers Kia’s intentions and races to the opera house to stop him. As Ray leaves the opera house after the concert Kia walks up to him with a gun in his jacket. He plans to kill Ray so he can witness his father suffer immense pain but when Ray recognizes Kia as his half brother he runs up to him and hugs him. Kia freezes and is overwhelmed by emotion and after a tense moment where Daisuke was unsure of what was going to happen, Kia returns Ray’s affection and hugs him back. Afterwards Kia tells Daisuke that his hate has faded away.
