Bleach #510 - The Extinction

In a Nutshell

YES!!!!!!!!!!

After a bizarre flashback where Quincy twins were delivered by minstrel show actors, it is revealed that the Juha Bach battling theCaptain Commander (who will be affectionately referred to as "Yamyam" from now on out) was an imposter. The real Juha appears, immediately steals Yamyam's Bankai and destroys the headquarters of the Gotei 13's First Squadron for the purpose of getting to the man held prisoner underneath it: AIZEN "That Dude" SOUSUKE!

High Points

• Um, AIZEN IS COMING BACK!
• Yamyam's arrogant ass gets made a fool of.

Low Points

• Twins named Loyd and Royd? That's almost as bad as my high school Latin textbook where twins were named Lomax and Anti-Lomax.

Rants and Raves

Aizen is my favorite anime bad guy and one of my favorite anime characters period. He embodies everything that is right about bad guys. He is cold, calculating, and no amount of half-assing and luck will let you stumble your way into a victory against him. LikeGin so eloquently said during the Decide Arc, "even if you plan for the sky falling and the Earth splitting, Lord Aizen is beyond your plans."

Additionally, BLEACH is filled with arrogant bastards and Aizen is the grand equalizer for all of that. Who s*it talks the s*it talkers?Aizen, that's who. Seeing Aizen make a straight up mockery out of his opponents without even breaking a sweat is pure ecstasy. Especially, when they swear up and down about how powerful they are and how much Aizen will pay for his actions.

Just this weekend I had to fight strong urges to buy a replica of his Zanpakuto. The only reason I didn't buy it is because I knew I'd quickly break it running around the house watching episodes of BLEACH and swinging it like an idiot. So yeah, I loved this chapter and I got ridiculously amped to see that Juha was coming for Aizen. Additionally, anyone who blindly followed the orders to executeRukia has had my ire since that arc and Yamyam was the worst offender. I could write four more paragraphs about my hate for him, but I'll wrap this up with a simple LOL Yamyam.

Sigh, I really don't like this chapter at all

It make Yamamoto look so dumb for using all of his Bankai attacks. This arc sucks for making all the captains look dumb, they didn't even use kido. Bleach just get worst every week now for me

This chapter seemed so predictable to me, and rather dull. though I thought there had been a microcopically slight chance for Aizen to fight for the good guys in this arc, this seemed a bit too obvious. now that soul society is wrecked, what's gonna happen?

heres how i think this is gonna happen

1. all the captains or at least most will die in the battle (but that im not too sure of)

2. yamma-ji is DEFINITELY going to die

3. Ichigo's gonna turn emo when he realizes he failed

4. he's gonna break Aizen out and ask for his help

5. they're gonna have a last epic battle between uryu and ichigo and aizen against juha, who will lose (but still live of course) so that ichigo will ifght him

not too sure what has happened back in hueco mundo, the only thing i can think of is that Grimmjow saved everyone from that weird quincy guy. why Grimmjow? because the writer said he was still alive... my other speculation is that maybe they're all dead, but not as sure on that one

You right, now I wondering why I like Bleach to begin with. I guess my suspension of disbelief for Bleach is low

If something is predictable, it make it dull (to me) When I read these chapters, I just see a old man showing off his powers so he could look cool and die at the end. (It was annoying)
