For the look of it the new arc, with Ginjo and his friends seems like a filler arc from the anime, their powers soon even more ridiculous than the bounts...
Their powers, which just seem to give them speed and combat strength of a standard Shinigami, don't seem all that crazy imo. Especially compared to magic swords that cast illusions, turn into razor flowers, shoot missiles, grow flowers on people and summon monster ogres. As far as looking like filler, I guess. What does filler look like? Is it because they're using new characters and old characters?
