Convenient Censorship such as steam, hair and beams of light are often used in anime and manga to show naked characters while obscuring their "naughty bits". |

Power corrupts. Bureaucratic power (especially tied to other powers) is no exception. |

Crazy
Characters with serious long mental unstabilities. They're sometimes simply weird but recently they're portrayed as downright homicidiacs. Not to be confused with the Mentally Unstable where the character fights against it and usually wins. |

Huge spikes, multiple colors, gravity-defying ponytails... and it's probably all natural somehow too. |

Cross-Dressing
The act of wearing clothes commonly associated with the opposite gender. |

Dark Past
One or more past events that negatively affected one or more people. It's very common in an anime for at least one person to have such a past. |

Dark Side
Not to be confused with "Evil Twin" which is a completely different person who is an evil version of a character, the Dark Side is an internal evil persona of a character. It is often seen as a figure that must be defeated to gain control over one's own body and gain extra powers. |

One who disobeys or breaks rules or laws, often used to describe younger individuals such as high schoolers who cause trouble. |

Drama is a concept used in story telling to invoke an emotional reaction from the audience by using serious themes; such as tragedy, suspense, and death. |

Drowning is death from suffocation (asphyxia) caused by a liquid entering the lungs and preventing the absorption of oxygen leading to cerebral hypoxia and cardiac arrest. |
