The band of brutal pirates under the leadership of Captain Kuro, the Black Cats lay low after their captain fakes his own death in order to not only shake the Marines, but to set his latest scheme into motion.

Origin

The crew of brutal, loot-thirsty pirates under the leadership of Captain Kuro, the Black Cat Pirates were once feared in the seas of East Blue. However, increasing pressure from the Marines led to Kuro faking his own death so that he could get the Marines off of his crew's trail and effectively set his newest scheme into motion. The Black Cat Pirates make their return to prominence in the closing segments of the Syrup Village Arc, awaiting the return of Captain Kuro and the loot that his latest scheme promises to bring.

Creation

The Black Cat Pirates were originally created by Eiichiro Oda for use in the One Piece manga franchise. The Black Cat Pirates first appear in both One Piece: Volume Three and One Piece: Episode __.
