Black Blood Brothers

Overview

An anime adaption of the light novel series written by Kouhei Azano and illustrated by Yuuya Kusaka, also titled Black Blood Brothers, which was directed by Hiroaki Yoshikawa originally ran from September 8, 2006 until November 24, 2006 and consisted of 12 episodes. The series has been licensed by Funimation Entertainment in the US and Canada.

Plot

Jiro Mochizuki was a hero of the Hong Kong war, despite the loss of his beloved Alice. 10 years later and Jiro is now traveling back to Japan, with his younger brother; Kotaro to live in the 'special zone'; an area where humans (red bloods) and vampires (black bloods) live in balance and harmony. During their journey Jiro and Kotaro become involved with a group of vampire refugees; one of which is a Kowloon Child. During the Hong Kong war ten years ago most of the Kowloon children were destroyed due to their unusual ability to turn humans. Other vampires must allow a human to drink their blood in order to transform, however Kowloon Children merely have to drink the blood of a human, Kowloon Children also have the power to change the blood line of a vampire. As such they pose a massive threat to both humans and vampires.

Jiro must pick up his sword once more and become 'Silver Blade'; the kin killer hero of the Hong Kong war.
