A Very popular concept in Hardcore Ero-Anime and Manga. It is an act of sexuality by binding someone Male or Female with ropes and or chains. It also includes placing them in a humiliating, and vulnerable position It has also been used as a form of erotic torture. |

Breaking the Fourth Wall
The act of Breaking the 4th Wall is when a character seem to show knowledge that they are in a fictional series. Normally by talking directly to the audience. |

Breast Envy
Commonly seen in anime and manga, less-developed girls are often envious of those with larger breasts. |

Brother and Sister
A male and a female member of a family that share the same parents. |
|
|
Brothers
Male characters that share the same parents. |
|
|
Cat Fight
A term given to an altercation between two women. |
|
|
Cats
Feline animal with four legs and says "meow." Many are found hanging around animes and mangas. |
|
|
Chibi
Chibi means to be small in stature. In anime/manga the term is used for a character that is small in appearance and exaggerated features. |

|
Child Abuse
Child Abuse is the act of an adult striking or causing harm to a child. Not necessarily physical, but emotional abuse as well.There are also adults who sexually abuse kids called Pedophilia. |

Comedy
Nearly every anime has a comedic moment here or there. Everyone likes to laugh. |

|
Convenient Censorship
Convenient Censorship such as steam, hair and beams of light are often used in anime and manga to show naked characters while obscuring their "naughty bits". |

Cooking
Someone or something to do with cooking. |
|
|
Cosplay
The practice of dressing like characters from anime, manga, video games, and even novels, TV shows, celebrities, etc. |

Crazy Anime Hair
Huge spikes, multiple colors, gravity-defying ponytails... and it's probably all natural somehow too. |

Dogs
Canine animal with four legs that is seen as a pet. |
|
|
Drama
Drama is a concept used in story telling to invoke an emotional reaction from the audience by using serious themes; such as tragedy, suspense, and death. |

Eyecatch
Eyecatches are short scenes or illustrations used to begin and end a commercial break in anime. |
|
|
Fan Service
Fan Service is often a sexually provocative moment or pose that takes place in manga and anime. It usually has no real purpose to a story, and serves as a lurid visual. |

Father
Fatherhood as a concept. A man who has conceived or raised a child. |
|
|
Flashback
Used frequently in Anime to either recap past events or provide a back story for a character, either their origin story or their off-screen training of new attack. Sometime and entire episode/chapter would be a entire flashback. |

Gainax Bounce
The "Gainax Bounce" refers to breasts bouncing around gratuitously in anime, often in ways that seem to defy physics. |

God
A God can be a guardian or a ruler with nearly unlimited powers or sense of consciousness. Most of them are creators or controlers of a sertain element or concept, but there are also gods who are destroyers wile some can be both. |

Heterochromia
Characters with two different eye colors. |
|
|
Hot-blooded
Someone who can't think calmly and always jumps into action without thinking much. They're rather unpredictable for both their allies and their enemies. |

Humans
Just your average person! |

Japanese Honorifics
Japanese Honorifics are best described as a sign of respect and endearment. Politeness is an important part of Japanese culture and language. |

Kami
Usually translated as "god," traditionally Japanese(/Shinto) kami are deities that belong to natural objects (mountains, rivers, etc) with relatively human personality traits. However, "kami" can be almost anything in the imagination of an anime or manga writer! |

Kidnapping
Capturing and carrying away a person against their will and holding them in false imprisonment . |
|
|
Lecher
Characters who exercise their strong libidinous desires in unwholesome ways, such as peeping on the objects of their desire, making inappropriate comments, stealing underwear etc. Though typically middle-aged or elderly men with a penchant for young girls, there are probably a few dirty old women out there. |

Limited Wardrobe
Limited Wardrobe applies when a character always wears the same outfit constantly, regardless of the setting or season, despite it being non-mandatory as opposed to wearing a uniform. |

Maids & Butlers
Maids and Butlers are highly popular within anime and manga. They can simply be a job, or they can be a lifestyle for loyal servants to a master or mistress. Identified by a particular uniform. Also popular in cosplay. |

Manga Iconography
Common visual conventions seen in manga and anime to convey emotions, often for comical effect. |

Martial Arts
Seen in just about every form of anime at least at one point. The key component that makes Shounen popular among boys. As well as Ancient art in itself |

Masochist
A Masochist is a type of person who attains gratification out of physical or emotional pain. Abuse/Humiliation. |

|
Modesty Towel
A towel usually worn after bathing or showering to cover up. Sometimes used as censorship even during bathing. |

|
Moe
Moe (pronounce moh-eh) is a Japanese slang term for something one likes, and within the anime realm is used to refer to characters who inspire a protective sort of love-- usually because the characters seem to need someone to take care of them. |

Monk
A religious person who lives either alone or in a holy place sutch as a temple or a church. Most of them tries to avoid worldy pleasures and to bring good to the world. |

Nosebleed
Bleeding from the nose, in manga/anime it mostly used as a sight gag that happens when a character is thinking or witnessing something perverted. |

|
Nurses
A Nurse is a regular hospital worker and Doctor's assistant. Assisting in the day to day care of patients, they can be male or female. |

Orphan
A child without parents. |
|
|
Parody
Parody is a style of work that closely resembles or mocks preexisting material or genres for comedic effect. |

Pettanko
A "Pettanko" character is a female who is flat-chested or has small breasts and is either concerned by it or proud of it. |
|
|
Police
The Police are a form of law enforcement officers that work on the local levels. Uniforms are normally in either blue or black. |
|
|
Potential Love Interest
The character has a chance of ending up with the protagonist. It means either the protagonist or the heroine(or maybe both) have feelings for the other. |

|
Poverty
Poverty is the condition of being unable to provide oneself or one's family with basic human needs such as adequate food, shelter, clothing, basic education and healthcare. |
