Momiji the Poverty God has been sent to collect Ichiko's excessive luck to restore the balance of karma in the world, but Ichiko won't give it up without a fight.

Binbō-gami ga! was written and illustrated by Yoshiaki Sukeno. It was published in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine.

Sakura Ichiko is a perfect high school girl: at age 16 she's rich, popular, pretty, athletic, smart, and talented in about any way you can think of. Quite simply, Ichiko has the most luck in the world, so much that it has made the Japanese gods of poverty and misfortune concerned.

Ichiko's good fortune has come at the expense of everything and everyone around her. Without realizing it, she has slowly been sucking up the "happiness energy" of everyone around her and absorbing it, threatening the balance of karma in the world. Trying to restore that balance, the gods send Momiji to suck out the excess energy from Ichiko.

However, Ichiko quickly realizes what Momiji is trying to do, and as Momiji tries to suck out her energy with a large hypodermic needle, Ichiko tries to find a way to send her back. Who will emerge victorious?
