Ben 10: Alien Force

Alien Force is set five years after the events of Ben 10. The storyline is notable for having the characters matured and taking a much darker tone, aiming the series at teens, rather than pre-teens like the original series did.

The main characters are still Ben Tennyson and his sister Gwen, however, they are joined by a former enemy Kevin, who helps them out after falling in love with Gwen. As Ben's grandpa Max went missing in the first episode, the team searches for him while fighting off an invasion of aliens called The Highbreed, who claim to be the first race in existence. Ben has a new set of aliens he can turn into, because of the Omnitrix's sudden change.

the main enemy is again Vilgax, however, this time more powerful than before. On an unsuccessful experiment to try and hack the Omnitrix, Kevin gets mutated and Ben's Omnitrix gets broken, often giving him the different alien from the one he chooses. This remains a persistent problem trought the series.
