Points of interest

• This episode implies that Sasuke achieved the Sharingan on the night of the Uchiha Clan's Massacre.
• Madara continues his persona of Tobi in front of Kisame, but drops it in this episode. He even reveals his entire face to kisame. He recognizes him as the former Mizukage, leader of the Hidden Mist Village.
• Many o the Akatsuki that appear in this episode have no spoken lines.
  
• Killer Bee is one of the only Jinchuriki who have completely tamed his tail-beast and works together with it.
• Sai and Shino have no spoken lines in this episode.
  

• After the credits is a special omake that has Kakashi, Sakura, Naruto, and Hinata talking over the scripts. Sakura isn't happy about how heroines are handled in the story.
• Sakura tries out different ways of saying Naruto's name for the mine. She tries Embarrassed, Happy, Sexy, Crying, Panicked, and Screaming. All are rejected, becasue her character would never scream out in those ways.
• The ADR recording supervisor in this omake is voiced by Kanako Toujo, the voice of Karin.
