In a western town, Yoh and his team prepare to eat while Anna buys a silver skeleton from a shop for 380 yen. Ryu and Ren observe the most people wear oracle pagers. Team Yoh Yohs learn that they are surrounded by shamans. Pino laugh at them and explains that the strongest shamans such as the God class are here. Though Horohoro gets mad due to Pino's attitude. Manta and Anna asks Pino about the god class shaman. Pino explains that they can cause trouble unless you know their weakness, and he tells them that they must to be perfect. Ren exits the place. Outside, Ren states that he will beat Yoh.

Suddenly, Hao Asakura appears and knows that Ren is different from his friends. Hao asks Ren to join him and that he will teach him everything about the Ultra Senji Ryakketsu. Manta stops Ren from attacking Hao. Hao wonders why Yoh keeps Manta as his friend. Before Hao leaves, he tells Ren that he will have him eventually.

Horohoro asks Ren what did Hao say, but Ren did not reveal Hao's words. Then out of nowhere, Zria attacks and imprisons Chocolove in water. She and Cardimahide appears, and Zria explains that she wants to defeat Hao's subordinates. Cardimahide summons his oversoul and attacks Chocololove, but Horohoro blocks him with his ikupasuy oversoul. He notices Horohoro can use ice powers. Meanwhile, Tamao, Pailong, and Jun Tao exits a building after their shopping spree. Jun Tao and the others sense a battle and prepare to fight the Ice Men. Pino tells his team to stop and tells them that his team is doing a joke. He tells Ren to lower his oversoul.

Anna asks Team Nile if they are capable of beating Hao Asakura. Anatel tells Anna they have god spirits. The X-Laws appear, and Marco tells Yoh that Lady Jeanne wants to talk to Yoh. Yoh declines. Anatel asks Marco and his team to fight his team to see which team is close to God and the strongest.

Lyserg prepares to fight alone which angers team Nile. Lyserg's pendulum wire breaks two of the Nile's spirit medium. He breaks Anatel's mask and has him wrapped in wire. While Lyserg talks about sadness, Hao and Opacho observe their fight. Lyserg's words shock Yoh's team. Anna thinks the X-Laws warp his mind, and Yoh does not understand his sorrow which causes Lyserg to join the X-Laws where he can be understand.

Iron Maiden Jeanne reveals herself while Anna's beads vibrate. She has thorns all over her and a dried blood trail on her left face. As Lady Jeanne talks about how she will bear the burden of the world (sins) to save everyone, she smiles which everyone feels the warmth. Jun notices that she has healing abilities as her wounds close. Anatel charges at Lady Jeanne, and he is caught in an iron cage. Marco explains that Shamash is a god of justice.

Because of Lady Jeanne's words, Team Nile's teammates charge at her to show that they are not sinners. Shamash captures them, and the sad Lady Jeanne goes back inside her iron maiden and cries blood. Yoh tries to stop them, but Shamash kill them (off screen but their screams are heard). Yoh and his team look sad, and Yoh thinks he fail. Points of Interests

Anime and Manga Differences

  • Unlike the anime, Lady Jeanne and her team X-I kills Team Nile in the tournament in Tokyo.
  • Censorship: Although the only blood seen is on Jeanne's face and mask in the anime (as black), the manga shows the death and blood of Team Nile on screen.
  • In the manga, Lyserg did inflict damage on Anatel when he squeezes the wire that is wrapped around Anatel.
  • In the manga, BoZ monks were already defeated in Ren's match before Lyserg's match with Team Nile. They did not show up in the same chapter as Team Nile.
  • Unlike the anime, Team Ice Men appears when they attack Horohoro's team to demonstrate their powers after Yoh finishes his statement of beating everyone with one strike.
