Points of Interest

• Though the actual Pain (Nagato) does not appear in any of these battles, he is controlling the bodies that are seen. All are dead and have been reanimated by his powers.
  
• The flashback Itachi references in this episode is from the Search for Tsunade arc in Naruto - Episode 84. At that time, Sasuke only had two tomoe in his Sharingan. The scenes were reanimated for this episode to fit the now standard wide screen format.
• Karin is able to know that Naruto used Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu though she has only seen one Shadow Clone. This is because of her sensor ability. After meeting the one, she knew that this explained the chakra that was surrounding them in the forest.
• Madara Uchiha has two voices in this episode. Once is his natural voice, and the other is the one he uses as his goofy persona of Tobi.
• This episode has the first mention of  Suigetsu Hozuki's older brother Mangetsu Hōzuki. She would eventually be seen when resurrected for the Fourth Shinobi World War arc.

• An omake extra was added after the episode to celebrate the 350th episode of the Naruto anime series. This also includes the 220 episodes of the first series. This is actually the 354th episode. Many of the characters that appear have no dialog. Deidara and Orochimaru are actually dead at this point of the story.
  
• This extra episode claims that Naruto never appeared in Episode 100 or Episode 300. While that was Naruto - Episode 100 of the original series. The 300th episode was for Naruto Shippuden - Episode 80. Naruto actually did appear in Episode 100. He was seen easting ramen with Sakura.
• Naruto says that Sai didn't appear until Episode 252. If 220 episodes of the first series is subtracted from that total. That would mean Sai appeared in Naruto Shippuden - Episode 32. Though technically, Sai did first appear in the flash forward scene of Naruto Shippuden - Episode 1 very briefly and had no dialog.
