Bakugan Battle Brawlers-- or simply Bakugan, as it's known in the U.S. for both its popular anime and the Del Rey-released manga –is reportedly making its way to movie theaters, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Universal and Stuber Productions are working with Spin Master, the North American distributor of the Bakugan toy line, to create the new film.
No writers or directors have been named, although Scott Stuber will work with Spin Masters' Rennan Harary to produce. If you're not familiar with Stuber Productions, well, they do have one recent film to think about: the R-rated Role Models, about a couple of idiots who wind up in a big brothers/big sisters-esque program. If only that meant that the film would involve Seann William Scott being harassed by Bakugan's main character Dan Kuso...
