Otohime's killer is discovered
The children of Otohime weep over their mother's death, and Jimbei looks on. He's so consumed with rage over both Tiger and Otohime's death but he has no idea where to direct it. As the Ammo Knights search for the shooter, another gunshot is heard. Hordy Jones is found standing over the body of a man he had just shot, who he says was holding a gun and must have been the shooter. Jimbei is shocked to learn the assassin was a human. He orders the men to hide the body so that Otohime's dream wont be crushed if the people learn her killer was a human. Hordy refuses and holds the body over the Conchcorde Plaza for all to see and shouts to the people that their queen's killer was human. Some are shocked, many are angry, and the Minister of the Left is overcome by the absolute tragedy of the situation.
Neptune locked in Iron Shell tower mourns his wife
Back at the Ryugu Palace, King Neptune has locked himself into the Iron Shell Tower and ordered his people not to allow him out while he still has the urge to kill. For days he lashed out in anger on the walls of the armory till he's bleeding and bruised. Minster of Left and Minister of Right gather outside to try and talk to the king. They tell him that his wife's murdered was an armed human and was killed by the soldiers. Neptune tells them from inside that he would have killed the murderer even if he was unarmed. Though, he knows Otohime wouldn't allow that. He cries for losing his wife, but he's also heartbroken that he couldn't even take up her dream either. In the past he's killed too many humans to protect the nation.
Shirahoshi is getting love letters
He emerges a few days later in time for Otohime's funeral. Shirahoshi rushes to her father and cries in his beard, and he apologizes to his children for leaving them alone for so long. Shirahoshi soon starts receiving love letters that fly toward her no matter where she goes. They are from the pirate Vander Decken IX, and he's been asking her for marriage. Out of fear that more attackers could be out and free, he forbids his children to attend the funeral.
Fukaboshi talks to the people at Otohime's funeral
Otohime's funeral is held at the Coral Forest, and many of the entire nation attend. A video feed appears above the proceedings. It's Fukaboshi. From the Ruyugu Palace, Fukaboshi speaks to all gathered along with his siblings. He tells them that his mother's last words were to continue to build a future under the sun. He understands that many are still angry and humans, so, he will abandon the current signatures. He and the rest of the royal family will gather the signatures once more when the wounds of the people have healed.
Nami forgives Jimbei for Arlong's actions
Back in the present, Jimbei explains that for several years Fukaboshi and his brothers have gathered signatures for the next World Summit. Jimbei then turns to Nami. He understands how she has suffered because of Arlong. He had sworn to attack if he had heard Arlong was using violence, but he had been paying off the Marines to keep his activities a secret. However, Jimbei still feels responsible. He bows to Nami and deeply apologizes to her. Sanji breaks in and tells him that if he was really sorry he should cut his belly open, but Nami ordered Sanji to stop. She tells Jimbei that she doesn't hate all fish-men. She hates Arlong. He may have put her through terrible pain in the past, but now she has great friends and is enjoying her present life. Jimbei is so touched by Nami's words and how it relates to the dying wishes of Otohime and Tiger that he breaks down in tears. Nami can tell that he has really felt guilt ridden for a long time over this. Franky is overcome by the drama and starts weeping openly, as well.
Luffy was asleep the whole time
Suddenly, everyone is shocked when Luffy falls over. When they hear him snoring, they all realize he was asleep. Sanji kicks him awake, and he asks Jimbei about how Shirahosh's mother died. Sanji screams at him that means he was asleep from the beginning.
Nami and Shirahoshi bond
Nami walks over to Shirahoshi, and she asks about her mother. Shirahoshi calls her, "Namichin"; but Camie panics to try and explain that the "-chin" isn't part of her name. Shirahoshi can't explain it, but she feels like she's known Nami for many years despite this being their first meeting. Nami explains that it must be because they both have similar pasts.
Luffy and Jimbei listen to Hatchan
Jimbei gets down to business and starts to break down the current situation. He knows Hordy has captured the Neptune and several of the Straw Hats. He had known Hordy was up to something in the Fish-Man District, but he had always refused to tell him. Hatchan breaks into the conversation that things are far worse than they all realized. Hordy is worse than Arlong. Arlong hated humans, but he'd never attack the fish-men. Hordy will kill anyone in his way with no remorse.
Hordy Jones appears
They are all interrupted when a giant video transponder snail crawls out of the forest. It projects a live video of Hordy Jones that he it broadcasting across the nation. Nami recognizes him, and this is the first time many of the others have ever seen him. Luffy finally gets his first look at the villain holding his friends, Hordy Jones.
