Bacchus is the S mage of the Quatros Cerberus guild in the Fairy Tail franchise.
Bacchus was created by Hiro Mashima as a minor character in the Fairy Tail franchise. Although Hiro Mashima has not explicitly stated any information about what inspires him to create Bacchus, Bacchus's name is loosely based on the Greek god of wine, Bacchus (in Rome, he is known as Dionysus). He appears in volume 33: chapter 275 and episode 161. He is voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda.
He first appears at a bar where the Fairy Tail guild are having a feast, and when he spots Cana drinking a lot of booze, he challenges her to a drinking contest. Short afterwards, Bacchus easily defeats Cana and takes his prize, Cana's bra. Macao and Wakaba try to stop Bacchus and to avenge Cana's honor, but Bacchus easily dodges them as he moves like a drunk man. He bashes their heads into the ground. Then, Erza calls Bacchus's name, and Bacchus is overjoyed to see Erza. When Erza asks him why he did not join the battle, Bacchus replies that he was going to allow the young members until War Cry's pathetic loss encouraged him to step in.
He has immense strength and agility, and he can still fight while being drunk.
According to Erza Scarlet who is his equal, he has two martial art styles:
