Comic Natalie reports that for Azumanga Daioh's 10th anniversary, among other projects, a re-release of the series' soundtrack is being offered. Azumanga is one of those rare series where I really remember a lot of the background music, which, like the series, is adorable and fun.
The rerelease will feature both volumes of the original soundtrack as one product, and in addition to getting the BGM for the series, its awesome OP song Soramimi Cake, the fantastic ED Raspberry Heaven (by Oranges & Lemons, who provided the ED to Scrapped Princess as well), you'll also get a new cover drawn by Kiyohiko Azuma specifically for the occasion.
I love the new cover, too, especially Yomi playing...whatever that thing is. I've been looking for the last twenty minutes and it kind of looks like a weird bassoon, or maybe the already-weird heckelphone, but I really have no idea. Any of you?
