Overview

Welcome to the Fairy Tail report! I'm Taka, a regular college student and wiki editor of Anime Vice who is part of multiple wiki teams in this community. This week's episode, 115, is the end to a great battle between Erza and Azuma. It's also the start of a new battle between Gray and Ultear. Are you excited for this?!

I'm sorry for the late reports. School's a bit hectic, but I keep writing these reports and doing wiki work for the community.

Plot

Ep. 115 - Frozen Spirit

The Fairy Tail members finish their battles with Rustyrose and Bluenote while Erza learns the truth behind Jellal from Azuma. Finally, Gray and Ultear begin their battle.

Verdict

Good

Erza sees the light in Jellal

• Erza gains closure from her past with the help of Azuma who told the truth behind Jellal. Erza and Jellal fans rejoice!
• Both Gildartz and Freed & Bixlow's battles ended greatly.
• Gray's character shine in this episode. I love how Gray just give Ultear a smacking. He fighting for his friends and keeping his vow to Natsu to live like the rest of guild members.

Bad

• There isn't much bad stuff that I could think of.

Bizarre

Oh Juvia!

• Loveable Moments: When Gray tells Ultear about living for his friends, Juvia smiles unconsciously.
• How Ultear treats Zeref is very contradicting. She just drops him on the ground compared to the earlier scenes where Ultear cuddles with Zeref by the tree. Not to mention her touching Zeref's head like a mother loving her child.

Overall, this episode gets a four out of five. Fairy Tail doesn't lose momentum from Erza's awesome battle. The action is picking up in the next episode. Stay tuned for Fairy Tail folks.

Fairy Tail Wikia has some awesome stitched caps. I loved the one where Gray holds Juvia. It's excellent and shows what the episode is about.

Welcome to the Fairy Tail report! I'm Taka, and I'm here to discuss episode 114 with you folks and my teammates. For those who don't know my teammates, they are Newten and Annabanana. We're finally seeing the climax of another spectacular battle for Erza. Erza had some nice fights in the past such as the Erza Knightwalker, Midnight. and Ikaruga. She doesn't disappoint the fans with this week's episode.

Plot

Ep. 114: Erza vs Azuma - "Eruza vs. Azuma" (エルザ vs. アズマ)

Erza and Azuma take their battle to the next level as Erza uses most of her famous armors and Azuma dealing out major attacks. When the situation gets tough, Erza almost gives up until she hears a familar voice. Will she gain back her resolve and defeat Azuma.

Verdict

Beware of Spoilers!

Good

• Erza is not pulling her punches nor is her opponent. You'll see an array of her cool armors and a new weapon called the Benizakura, Fairy Sword.
• Azuma makes this episode explode with Terra Clamara.
• For Jellal and Erza fans, you'll get to see Jellal again and some flashbacks of Jellal and Erza together.

Erza's Armors Used:

Heaven Wheel Armor, Flight/ Soaring, Adamantine, Lightning Empress, Giant, Purgatory, and Fight Robes. I didn't get a good shot of Erza's Giant's armor or an intact Purgatory.

Erza's power of friendship

• There's not much bad things, but if you want your battles uninterrupted, the scenes of Natsu and such can be a hassle. Compared to the manga, there are no scenes interrupting. However, the anime has more action and displays more armors for Erza.
• For those who don't like cliche shonen things, Erza solves her battle with the power of her friends.

Bizarre

Erza's Seduction Armor

• Erza debating herself whether to use her seduction armor. Good news, she is not like Lucy.
• Azuma tends to be creepy when he licks his lips after Erza pulls out her sword. In Azuma's last battle with Mirajane, he describes his battle like having sex to me unless my head is in the gutter again.
• Daphne makes unexpected cameo in this episode.

Erza's battle is truly awesome. She doesn't disappoint her fans.

Plot

Ep. 113: The Tenrou Tree - "Tenrō-ju" (天狼樹)

The Fairy Tail and Grimoire Heart members continue to battle. Gildartz fights Bluenote while Natsu's gang go back to the camp. Bixlow and Freed Justine jump in and defend the camp from Rustyrose. In Erza's battle, Azuma uses his magic to destroy the Tenrou tree. With the tree fallen, will Erza be able to defeat Azuma with everyone's lives on her shoulders?

Erza's armor of the week!

• For fans of Freed and Bixlow, you'll love this episode. They almost beat Rustyrose until the Tenrou Tree fell over which zaps the Fairy Tail guild's power.
• Erza's battle with Azuma is picking up steam, and the next episode is going to be great. Armors she used are Black Wing, Morning Star, and Flame Empress. I dig her Flame Empress, but she didn't fight in it as much. Her other two armor takes the spotlight. This is the second time since the Edolas arc that Erza has used her Morning Star armor.

Bad

Gray's baffled by Ultear

• Despite the awesome battles, Erza's battle overshadows Freed & Bixlow and Gildartz. Freed & Bixlow takes 2nd place. I am hoping to have a good Gildartz battle like half a episode dedicated to it.
• Another bad thing is Gray's conversation with Ultear. Nothing happen much so to me, it interrupted the flow of battles.

Bizarre

Who is he?

• Off-Tangent Reference:Tenrou Tree reminds of the Green Lantern's lantern. Without the source of power, everyone became useless.
• Mystery Character: Since I don't read the manga ahead of the anime, I find this boy a mystery. He wears clothes similar to Natsu's attire. My wildest speculations that he could be Natsu's son. No, I'm joking. I'm looking forward to a new guild member and his magic powers.

Overall, this episode is great. Deserves a B or 4 out of a 5. I'm definitely looking forward to Erza's battle with Azuma.

Welcome to Fairy Tail's 4th weekly report! I count Newten's weekly articles on Fairy Tail ep. 88 and 89 because he's my teammate who supported Anna and I. For the title of these weekly reports, I just chose to kept this name because of the last report's name, and I wanted to keep it consistent due to my OCD thing. For you Beelzebub and Sket Dance fans, I have to stick with the weekly title unless you guys want me to come up with a new name. Back to Fairy Tail, this episode is guarantee to show you guys more of the Seven Kin of Purgatory.

Plot

Episode 106: The World of Great Magic - "Dai Mahō Sekai" (大魔法世界)

In this episode, Mirajane and Lisanna's battle with Azuma comes to a conclusion. While Fairy Tail fight the Seven Kin of Purgatory, they learn about Grimoire Heart's true goals, a world for only mages. Elfman and Evergreen fight against the weird and yet powerful Rustyrose; Ultear and Zeref have a serious confrontation.

Who will win in their respective matches: Lisanna and Mirajane vs Azuma, Elfman and Evergreen against Rustyrose and Ultear against Zeref?

Verdict

Good

• The three main battles are superb in their rights while the viewers get some more info about Azuma, Rustyrose, and Ultear.
• Mirajane has her second major battle in her Satan Soul which is really good for Mirajane fans. I don't count Elfman's fight with his sister as a major battle.
• Rustyrose has an interesting power, Arc of Embodiment, that uses his imagination while Ultear's powers, Time Ark, is being further revealed.

Bad

A little too detailed on her crotch

• I find the stigma of being a mage in the Fairy Tail universe, nonexistent. In the beginning of the series, Romeo mentions how people look down on Fairy Tail, and how his friends think that knights are cool, and you get that Fairy Tail hate feeling throughout the series. There's nothing bad being a mage or the xenophobic hatred towards the mages because people depend on mages in this world. If I compare to another Shonen series, Shaman King, the shamans are vilified as outcasts, witches, and a plague on society. For shamans, they hate humans for destroying mother nature and disturbing the spirits.
• Back to Fairy Tail: For those who are intolerant of fanservice, this episode might turn you off with the skin tight clothing that reveals the woman's private parts. Please look at Ultear's shots.
• Not to be picky, I find Ultear's lipstick to be goofy on her.
• Also, I feel Mirajane's death to be less sad than Lisanna's death in the series.

Bizarre

Azuma's words that described how thrill he is when fighting Mirajane is too weird. For example, he talks about how he never felt so high and he describes the battle as this "sensation." I don't know if it's the subbing problem, but it suggests drugs and sex to me.

Zeref's eyes are like Zancrow when he gets mad.

Natsu's shining triumph ends abruptly.

You got to love how Evergreen bashes on her allies and how weird Rustyrose is. Rustyrose is the Julius of the series.
