Ayaka Yukihiro is the daughter of a VERY wealthy owner of the Yukihiro Zaibatsu. However, this father is really never around. She is stubborn and bold, leading her to be the head of the majority of the clubs. She has a friendly rivalry with Asuna. Ayaka is also likely the most open with her attraction to Negi. This is due, in part, to her losing her baby brother when she was still young. Although she is deeply infatuated with Negi this does not prevent her from trying to right problems between Negi and Asuna. Her attraction to Negi is taken by many to be an unhealthy one, for both Negi and her but, as usual, Ayaka seems to either not care what her classmates think, or just tunes the comments out about her being a 'cradle robber' as Asuna puts it. While not on par with students like Asuna or Ku Fei she is shown to have some skill in martial arts during the Kyoto trip. Taking out several 'dolls' before she is humorously, but not fatally, crushed by a much larger 'doll'. During that same trip she takes part in the "Kiss Negi" contest orchestrated by Chamo and Kazumi, instead of actually kissing Negi, Ayaka ends up kissing a paper copy of him and only recieves a botched pactio card. Although VERY late in the series she gets her wish and recieves a full pactio with Negi (as does everyone else who had not up to that point, but obviously, Ayaka did not care).
