Axel is a nobody, the 8th member of Organization XIII, and Roxas's best friend.
Axel is a nobody and the 8th member of Organization XIII. He is Roxas's best friend and spends a great deal of time trying to convince him not to meet Sora, as he knew that that would be the end of him as a nobody. After Roxas reunites with Sora, Axel tries to get him back by antagonizing Sora. When it's eventually obvious that this isn't going to work, Axel betrays the Organization and sacrifices himself in order to save Sora from an onslaught of nobody minions.
