Due to Legend of Korra being the big buzz in June and July of 2012, I had this idea that is similar to a battle thread where you guys and gals talk about who is the better Avatar. It's a bit late, and I apologize for it.
First off, let me do some background info on these two series.
For those who are new to series, the original Avatar series revolves around Aang who is the new Avatar that disappeared from the world 100 years ago. Katara and Sokka find Aang imprisoned in an iceberg. After freeing Aang, the siblings aid Aang to help him master all of elements in order to defeat the Fire Lord and to end the war.
For Legend of Korra, here's a synopsis written by Wales:
Seventy years after the Hundred Years War, Avatar Aang has passed on and the time has come for the new Avatar to be selected. Finding a young waterbender named Korra, it is evident she is the new Avatar as she sets off to begin her training of the four elements. Already having mastered fire, earth, and water at a remarkably early age, she has one element left to master: air. With a mass shortage of airbenders in the world, the responsibility is left to a man who knew Aang too well: his youngest son Tenzin. However, Tenzin cannnot train Korra in the South Pole so she must relocate to Republic City; the iconic city Aang and Fire Lord Zuko created to be a center of peace in the world between benders and non-benders.
However, Korra quickly discovers that beneath the beauty of the city lies the underbelly of crime as well as a growing anti-bending revolution that threatens to tear republic city apart. Knowing that her responsibilities involve keeping the city peaceful, she discovers new allies in the form of pro-bending brothers Mako and Bolin and an even greater threat than she ever could have imagined. The leader of The Equalists, Amon. Behind the mask is a scarred man who has a power that makes even the quick tempered and fierce Avatar crumble to her knees.
Personality: Aang is a pacifist at heart, and he tends to avoid conflicts and solve things without fighting. He is not a serious person. He would rather goof off and do things fun before getting down to business. Though, he is determined to protect his friends and save the world.
Bending: Aang didn't master all the elements. Firebending is pretty difficult for him. For advanced bending, Aang can freeze water, but he cannot bend metal like Toph or shoot lightning like Zuko.
Personality: She is the opposite of Aang. She's blunt, aggressive, and a bit hotheaded and rather use action to solve her problems.
Bending: Unlike Aang, she pretty had every element under her belt except for air. Due to her personality and fighting style, she cannot master airbending well or tap into the Avatar State. She does not have a strong spiritual self like Aang does. In advanced bending, Korra does not have any skills.
I'll leave it at the point.
Who is the better Avatar? We can talk about character wise, strengths, and more .
Thank you for reading this blog.
Welcome everyone to the Avatar the Last Airbender wiki project where we have a spectacular team working on it last month. After the Legend of Korra season 1 ended, some of the wiki editors join up to make the wiki pages for the first Avatar series better.

|I'm Taka, a wiki editor, an Admin at Sket Dance Wikia, and a college student. I'm proud of my wiki work in Fairy Tail, Sket Dance, Shaman King, and others, and I enjoyed writing weekly reports to promote my team's works, news, and other special blogs. I'm the First Mate of the project, and I'm in charge of Book: Water, the first season of the series.
We welcome anyone who is willing to follow the wiki style on the project. Feel free to ask us. We'll help teach any new wiki editors who want to help out.
I will publish another blog for the new wiki pages using Daniel Newton's format. I just list a few for now.
Note: I wanted to use Daniel Newton's formal wiki project, but it didn't have a strong team component.
FoxxFireArt created these wiki tasks. Please check them out.
Thank you everyone. We hope to make these wiki pages the best.
