So the rumoured 4th season of Avatar is confirmed(?).

I think everything past the name is pure speculation at this point but i'm excited at the prospect of a new Avatar, especially after that live action train wreck.

It's more then Possible. It was one of the biggest successes for Nick In the past 10+ years. Theirs no way they wouldn't Want to capitalize on it. (although they failed with the LA Movie.) I personally expected at least a movie that was Set after the defeat of Ozai, But i Wasn't expecting a full Fourth season. From What the link you showed my says, It will Involve a new cast of characters and likely a new incarnation of Aang.

It would be awesome to see a new incarnation of Aang, but if its a direct sequel without the new incarnation thing it would just not be the same without Mako.

Thats what i thought too. which is a little disapointing as i loved the characters from Aang's lifetime. Especially Azula.

From what i have also heard, Korra is Female and the avatar cycle would dictate that she is a waterbender.

@Kelleth: @Jadeskye:  I went and did a little research. Most sources say that The new series will take place a hundred years in the future, and that Korra will Be Aang's apprentice in a similar way to Zuko and iroh. If this is speculation or a leak i can't confirm, though if it's true it does sound interesting.

i would have thought that impossible as aang would have to be dead for there to be a new avatar =o

@Jadeskye: Sorry. I had meant Aang and roku not iroh and zuko.

@rein: oooooh! like an ancestral spirit. yeah that would be awesome. maybe we'd see Aang as an older man inside Korra...that sounds so wrong XD

Exactly what i was hoping for!! i'm so watching this series!! now we'll have to hope that the element is also different from Aang's!! i hope its water!!:)

Also it kinda weird the more i think about it but if the Wind benders are back in that time period that means that all those people are Aang's descendants XD

@Kelleth: yeah it pretty much means that aang must have sired an heir or more (possibly with Katara) and all the airbenders 100 years on would all stem from one bloodline. hopefully they've been making babies with other benders :p

@Kelleth: Well. Korra sounds like a water tribe name so I'm under the assumption that her base element will be water. (that would also be the next logical step in the cycle). Though I don't think Bending Is completely genetic (some families seem to be stronger then others but i don't think people whose ancestors weren't benders couldn't learn to do it.) so they could just be people who Aang taught How to Air bend. (Although Being the avatar must come with some nice perks (.)(.)   )

@rein:  Yes lets hope that somewhere in a point of time Ty Lee's family also blended in the bloodline and gave them ''both'' her ''talent's'' :P

Lets hope so, we don't need any interbreeding in this series :P

@Jadeskye: That's funny! I like everything I've seen from this show except the blood bending. Beautiful animation!
