Shouldn't Ash's Pikachu Be Maxed Out By Now?

@Fubar: ash's pikachu jobbs more then superman. he goes from holding an entire Thunderstorm to losing to a starter pokemon. Pika losing to anything below legendary lvl is Pure PIS.

@rein:  It's a couple wonderful things called "plot convenience" and "dragging out a franchise." Pikachu being able to beat practically everything wouldn't give the anime any more plot to keep it going on and on.

@rein:  Konami tried that with Yu-gi-oh GX. That didn't exactly work out too well.

@Dream: in the us, in the japan it was okayish, then there was yugioh 5D

well i would say it is a really special pikachu, he can use electrical attack on ground type pokemon

Wait... I stopped watching Pokemon a loooong time ago... is Ash still running around the world without having to use a wheelchair? no new character? no end?

If we pretend, at the very least, that each episode takes over 1 day (and several display happening across more than one) its been at least two years.
Wiki says that the animated series has stretched over 640+ episodes.
 
So yeah, years....

HAHA. Oh man, that's priceless. Ash probably wouldn't notice, probably thought his pickachu evolved... into pickachu, which explained its personality change.

Omg this made me roll haha I loved the   " Maybe ash's pickachu died and His mom replaced it when he wasn't looking. " Haa It'd so fit as to why pikachu struggles against Randy guys elekid I mean  
WTF!?!? with how long he's had it he must be a really crap trainer despite the anime making him seem good he must beat pikachu at nights to stop it leveling it something O.o
