Asagi is the oldest sister in the Ayase family. She appears in the Yotsuba&! franchise.
Asagi Ayase is the oldest of the three sisters and has been noted as the "pretty" one (and the strong one on one occasion) by Yotsuba. She is the object of a significant crush on the part of Koiwai's friend Jumbo, which oftens leads Jumbo into comical situations by trying to exploit their mutual bond with Yotsuba, or being exploited by others.
Asagi has a carefree attitude and is fond of teasing others, particularly her sister Fuuka and their mother and father. She is also particularly fond of Yotsuba, whose antics she finds funny and endearing.
Despite being the eldest sister, she is probably the least responsible. On one of the few occasions where Yotsuba was left in her care, Asagi she brought her home covered in band-aids and bruises while Ena and Fuuka can usually manage Yotsuba with little harm.
She is more often than not seen in the company of her reticent, chain-smoking friend Torako.
