Wait a squid, aren't you on my side?
Squid Girl is in danger of drowning when a tanned lifeguard named Goro Arashiyama comes and saves her. Hearing that his job is to protect the sea, she feels a sort of kinship with him. However, unlike her, he's interested in saving people, not in subjugating them. Feeling scorned, she decides to try and embarrass him. When the lifeguard goes to save another drowning boy, the Squid Girl secretly catches his legs with her tentacles and demands that he apologize to her, but the lifeguard counters that she should try to save the boy first since he can't move. The Squid Girl ends up saving the boy and the lifeguard, but neither one bows down to her.
