Aren't you a fraidy-squid?
Squid Girl watches a special about ghosts on TV with the Aizawas, but she doesn't seem too afraid, so the girls decide to take her into a graveyard to scare her. Goro comes along to get closer to Chizuru, but is scared of the possible ghosts. Sanae also shows up to get closer to the Squid Girl, but in the darkness the two get separated. The Squid Girl tries emitting bright light from her head to show the others where she is, but they think it's an angry ghost chasing them and run away. However, the spirits of dead samurai appear to guide the Squid Girl back to the beach.
You're the squid's sworn enemy, aren't you?
Squid Girl and Takeru are going swimming when they run across what looks like her natural enemy: an orca. As Goro tries to teach Takeru how to swim, the Squid Girl is incredibly afraid at all these strange sea monsters that seem to be floating in shallow water and threatening to eat her. Finally, Eiko takes her aside and shows her that these beasts are actually just inflatable pool toys kids have been using.
Squidzooks! Aren't you a new recruit?
A girl named Nagisa Saito decides to work part-time at the Lemon snack shop. She loves to surf and wanted to work near the beach, but on her first day she runs into the Squid Girl and is very afraid of her. She can't fathom why the others would let a sea-monster (in human form, natch) work in their shop and is afraid that she will somehow conquer humanity if she isn't stopped. The Squid Girl, on the other hand, is overjoyed by the fact that there is finally a human who is actually afraid of her instead of abusing her.
