Hello Animevice, we changed up the homepage today.  We added the top user reviews to the home page just under the 3 daily promo images.  To get your review to show up there you just have to have your review recommended by other AV members.   Currently we're showing the highest rated reviews of the last 60 days, but I'll change that to best reviews of the week soon.

Also on the homepage is a little pod on the right side that shows the latest staff Beginners Guides.  We plan on creating more of those guides as good ways to introduce new users to anime, and get them involved in our community.  Soon we'll move on to Expert Guides -- and if any community members want to help with that let us know!

I really like this feature. I like it a lot more then the coming mangas. Not just because most of the list were VIZ titles. lol I just never really ever paid attention to that section. All the series I care about I already know when they are coming.

I plan on writing reviews for every episode in the One Piece's Sabaody Archipelago Arc. It's 15 episodes long, and I only have 5 more to go so far.

I've thought about giving a shot to writing a Guide to a series, but felt like those were better off left to staff. I do know quite a bit about a few series.

I noticed the reviews as I logged on today, I think it's a brilliant idea, like Fox says it's much more useful than what was there before.
I'll have to check some of those out!

Seems like a good way to gather a community back to AnimeVice. MyAnimeList.net gets a lot of traffic from users who just want to review episodes of anime and talk about them in the forums.

I think AnimeVice could gather the same type of community, if not greater. The layout of the site is more appealing than most other anime sites, and the features go beyond user forums.and wiki edits.

I do have one small gripe...
I think the icons for the reviews should have the anime title displayed rather than having to hover over them too see what the name is. The title is just as important if not more important than knowing how many people found the review helpful
