@waybig1010101: yeah, though watching it always leaves me with some bad aftertaste. except when sani used satan hair. that was AWESOME.
@othus12: Yes satan hair was indeed ccol, but to be fair its really hard to mess up something as great as satan hair (=but that last episode where toriko saves both Jirou and Setsuno.......was just terrible IMO
THIS, THEY CHANGED THE ACTUAL CANON STORYLINE, THEY MADE JIROU LOOK WEAK T_T
Well, I went back to finish Melk's Stardust arc. I found a good shot of Melk the Second. I can't help but wonder the quality of the animation and art style from Melk's arc to Cooking Festival arc. Melk the Second looked way hot later in the recent arc. Am I right, @SpeedForceSpider? (just making small talk).
Oh yeah, Komatsu! I didn't know he mistaken Melk for a guy. I thought everyone know that Melk was a woman. It's like those androgynous characters. I support those 2.
Everyone was scared for Toriko. It should have ended like Fairy Tail did. Just stop and don't do any anime exclusive ending. Fairy Tail is coming back next month. For Toriko, I want it to come back and redo its ending like Magi did with its first season.
There is a good chance that Toriko will come back. I don't know the mangaka well. Is he vocal and tells fans that the anime will continue?
I stopped reading the manga after the BB Corn arc when Yusuke and I form the Toriko wiki team with Taichokage, Othus12, WayBig, Bigz007, SpeedForceSpider, and ForgottenOne. Since our team was mostly character writers, I decided to watch the anime to work on Tina's page.
Right now, I'm just finished the Mellow Cola Arc and Shining Gourami arc. I think I'm starting the Meteor Garlic arc when I saw some flashbacks of the young Four Heavenly Kings.
Though, I do skip arcs. I skipped to Cooking Festival to provide hi res shots for my teammates.
@takashichea: Oh, so you still have a few arcs in the manga, well based on what I've seen of the anime, it has held close to the manga for the most part aside from censorship and a few filler characters which really isn't much of a problem, but you'll see when you reach this part in the manga that this recent episode really derailed the story.
It's okay, I'm used to spoilers. It's the risks of being a wiki editor in this community. I hope I catch up. We're going to a roundtable on Toriko like the GUILTY CROWN Roundtable Discussion -- AV MOD Material that was posted.
The issue is that we have a really large group. I have to assign questions to teams of 2-3 folks just to make everything balance.
Hey, if you want to join, just tell me. I have written a half of page outline, but I was really busy with the Spring Anime 2014 Trailers Guide and doing the final touches on the Sket Dance RT article.
It think anime is pretty much ruined now.
I think the reason Claymore isn't continuing story via anime is because the studio changed last few episodes and it's hard to connect it without doing it all over again, just like Toriko right now. If this continues, I don't see Toriko having more anime ever again.
Media distribution service Crunchyroll on Saturday added two One Piece and Toriko crossover anime specials that originally aired in April 2011 and April 2012. The episodes are currently only available for premium members.
The two episodes, labeled as episodes 492 and 542 of One Piece respectively, follow the casts of both series as they meet in various places. The first episode focuses on the two casts as they meet on Hungry-la Island and encounter various beasts. The second crossover special focuses on the two casts as they try to find a special fruit to heal Chopper, who has fallen ill.
Both crossover specials are actually the second half of two-part specials, the first of which aired as episode 1 and episode 51 of Toriko respectively in April 2011 and April 2012.
Funimation did not stream any of the crossover episodes when they first aired, so Crunchyroll's stream is the first time that the two One Piece-side episodes are legally available for streaming in English.
Crunchyroll also added more backlog episodes to its One Piece catalog on Saturday — episodes 373-384 to finish off the Thriller Bark arc.
