The opening was weird and kind of creepy, however I like the path Kaneki chose, however I don't agree with him just leaving Touka all by herself after she got her ass handed to her. and other thing, why did they have kaneki break 103 bones in Touka's brother's body like in the manga. I was hoping for that.

Season 2 episode 1 was pretty good. Seems their was a change in animation style a bit. Different company or main animators?

Episode 1 of season 2 was fantastic. I do miss the old opening. The new opening is great, but it wasn't as cool. It was more paintings and creepy touching.

Didn't expect Kaneki's biggest decision. Kaneki's new personality change was great and the way he made Ayato his Bitch was amusing. Ayato wasn't amused when the mummy looking girl welcome Kaneki in her group.

Was that the plan to push Kaneki over the edge?

Episode 2

  • Got to see Mado's daughter.
  • Seeing another foil between Anteiku and Aogiri. Wasn't sure what Aogiri's objective is, killing Ghouls or humans.
  • Hinami and Nishio's scene were cute

Not much action.

@takashichea: Would say episode 2 was more like a get to know the new characters. A set up for story angles to come. Yeah it lacked action or tension.

@Marshal Victory:

Agreed. It was just a set up for more things to come. Seeing Amon getting shot down by Mado was amusing.

Was working on the Winter 2015 simulcast guide while watching this episode.

I heard this anime's new arc wasn't in the manga. I never notice it was strange. The only thing I can tell as an anime only fan is the pacing. The pacing is a bit normal. It was great to see Toka, Ken, and Hide's involvement with the story.

Not a lot of action, just more exposition and character reflections. Hinami was very cute in this episode. Something tells me that the author of Ken Kaneki's favorite books is a Ghoul, based on her suspicious smiles.

3 was pretty good. Tho this season seems heavy on action or light per episode so far. So the writer is a ghoul writer. Beats being a ghost writer.
