GOD NO! No more Recorder and Randsell!

Post by Lurkero (405 posts) See mini bio Level 7

That is a long list for me to be uninterested in ALL of it. Guess I'll be sticking to the usuals over the summer.

I'm still disappointed that the new Sailor Moon anime was delayed. As far as I know nothing about it has been shown to the public. I was interesting in seeing how they revitalized the franchise. I was practically raised on Dragonball Z and Sailor Moon.

What happened to the beautiful formatting for the anime guides? This one looks sloppier than the previous versions. Still a lot of useful info - I like that part - but the layout is kinda sloppy.

Post by rubberluffy (579 posts) See mini bio Level 16

Blood Lad's manga is pretty fun, so I'll watch the anime. Silver Spoon is by Hiromu Arakawa, and I'm gonna start reading it soon and I'll watch the anime. Uchoten Kazoku has those fun Kumeta Koji (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei) designs. Those are the three I'll watch immediately. I'll wait for some first impressions of Gatchaman, Servant x Service and Rozen Maiden to see if I'll bother with those since they're on my "Maybe" list.

So far I going to watch Monogatari 2 and Senki Zessho Symphogear G. Hear good things with Danganronpa and Silver Spoon.

I just wanted to say great job to my teammates: and for helping me create the table.

I'm pretty stoked to try Silver Spoon, Blood Lad, Kamisama no Inai, the other 2 reverse harem shows just for research, Uchoten, Danganronpa, and Free!.

Everyone, I'm going to finish the OVA tables soon.

@Lurkero:

You should be used to it by now, It has been a year since my teammates and I put these lists. I like to be as complete as I can with the lists. Regarding the layout, I was experiment with Google Docs because it takes about a whole day to transcribe the entries and sometimes, there are glitches in the table. Spacing is not consistent while posting images one by one can mess up the table.

I'm sorry about that. When I posted the table from Google Docs to here, the border lines all disappear. For this front news article, it wasn't supposed to be all in header 2 font. I'm sorry about that. I have contacted Tom about this.

Please see Summer Anime 2013 Trailers and Testing Google Docs if you're interested.

@rubberluffy:

Oh, you're a fan of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Yeah, that's why I wanted to try Uchoten.

@zaldar:

Heh, I was looking all over for the summary for that series. I couldn't get Google Chrome to translate the text at the official Japanese website. Some of these shows are for children. However, Angel's Drop is a bit weird.

I omitted this piece of info from ANN:

The story centers on Botan and Shinobu, two childhood friends who enroll in St. Azumaria Girls' Academy. Their encounter with an "angel" named Un-chan lead to strange things happening in their lives. The manga openly describes itself as covering yuri, hentai, omorashi, and other elements of fetishism not usually seen in shōnen or shōjo manga.

@takashichea:

I love Zetsubou-sensei. Back when Borders was closing all its stores I managed to get volumes 1-8 for super cheap. I know Kumeta is only doing the character designs for Uchoten, but I love his very distinct style so I'm gonna give it a shot. SHAFT managed to do a great job bringing his style to life and I hope PA Works can do so as well.

My picks, sort of in order of interest (links go to trailer threads):

  1. Monogatari 2
  2. Uchoten Kazuko
  3. Genshiken
  4. Silver Spoon
  5. Blood Lad
  6. TWGOK 3
  7. Free

And now I play the waiting game.

@takashichea: Sigh....thanks for the info now I know even more to stay far far away from this one...

But first I just had to find more info and lord what I found was odd...more description of the show.

Botan Ichige has just enrolled in St. Asmaria All-Girl's School where angels are said to live. It turns out that angels do indeed live there, and after an accident, an angel named Un offers Botan her halo as a snack. After eating it, Botan discovers it had some bizarre side-effects, causing her to regularly "give birth" to colorful mushrooms. Is this the life of an angel!?

and I link...http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2013/01/10-1/video-moe-fetish-comedy-anime-angels-drop-1st-pv

Yeah...this is...I don't know...someone took a rather funny gag from Renmei I think a little to far....

@rubberluffy:

I got into Sayonara Zetsubou because of a gal named Superevil225 did a weird blog series on the anime. Though, she dropped it when she find it was mostly fan service and a borderline harem. I did find the cast is mostly female. I can't remember, but there was 2 girls that like their teacher.

I see Silver Spoon and Free might be very popular this summer. Those are my bets for summer hits for 2013: Silver Spoon, Free, Gen'ei o Kakeru Taiyo (wild card b/c it's somewhat similar to Madoka), and Dangan.

@zaldar:

I find it funny though.

I remember that but the bolded part is hilariously wrong. Also, I read some stuff about the manga ending a few months ago, and I saw some stuff mentioned about how the manga's big ending plot twist was foreshadowed in the anime's openings. Really wanna finish reading it.
