@AURON570: Ya thats a good analogy mix to its feel for sure.Just watched Red line last night actualy. An it did have some of Luppins charm but i think it leans a bit more like City Hunter.
@Dream: Thing is they said it would have difrent animation teams in the show to so the look an style would change a bit threw the series.Long as it doenst end as poorly as Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman. Which also started strong .
@Marshal Victory: Oh man thanks for reminding me about Roman. Only things really notable about that show were the Monkey Punch! character designs and the jazzy OP theme.
Also, anyone notice the bad guy (gorilla) flies around in a giant Statue of Liberty head with a ballgag in its mouth?
@DocHaus: Ya i did .Some might say that was some subtle political overtones. But i think its probly a cigar is just a cigar type thing.
An ya thats totaly the notable things about Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman.Shame when the character designs an the music is more or less the best parts of the show :/ Really hope this does not turn into that.
The english dub voice for Space Dandy reminded me of the voice actor for Deadpool video game Nolan North.Which its not him but the show now reminds me of a bloodless Deadpool.Breaks the 4th wall an all.But the voice is Ian Sinclair.Who was the voice of Flynt in Borderlands video game.
Just watched the first episode dubbed, good quality as you'd expect from FUNimation. Made me chuckle at times and at other times I was just bemused... kind of hope it's a little less slapdash next week but I'm definitely intrigued. It has a great look. I think I'll check out the subbed version to compare.
Also Space Hooters.
I need to try it subbed. Were there cultural jokes? I know for sure those are much better in subbed since you lose the meaning when translating it. For this series, I'm going to watch both for the hell of it. Though, I might not have time when school starts rolling.
Random Speculation #1: By pulling on the thread and unraveling the fabric of space-time itself, Dandy accidentally created multiple copies of himself and his crew, and every episode is going to show them going on a different adventure before dying somehow.
Random Speculation #2: Dandy stole a magic immortality potion from Emperor Inferno Cop (or whatever his name is, the flaming skullhead guy) and he responds to failure by blowing up his servants when he feels like it, knowing that he can just revive them later.
Random Speculation #3: Dandy and co. were saved by other aliens looking for him to repay a debt before they kill him.
